In 440 events, finished in the top-ten, 29 times, won once at the 1977 Buick Open and was 2nd in 1974 New Orleans Open and 1975 Western Open. Competed in 8 US Opens, 15 British Opens, 6 Masters, 9 PGA Championships, best finish  in an Open was 12th; 1974 World Cup of Golf Individual and Team Winner; 1968 British Amateur Champion, the youngest ever at 18 years, 1 month old; 1974 and 1980 South African Open Winner; youngest player ever to make the cut in The Masters, 18 years, 11 months. Prior to 2002 played in 24 Senior PGA Tour events, best finish was T12th in the 1998 Emerald Coast Classic.
