Player Notes: Has competed in eight PGA Club Professional Championships, with a career-best finish T-13 in 1997. . . Teaching professional at The Orchard Country Club in Clarksville, Ga. . . Tied for fourth in the 2001 PGA Senior Club Professional Championship . . . Competed in 2001 U.S. Senior Open, he tried to get his Senior Tour card in the 2001 Senior PGA Tour qualifying tournament but finished T44th. Tried to qualify for Senior Tour events in the Monday qualifiers, matter of fact he only got in seven events in 25 Monday qualifiers. In 11 tries in 2002 he got into the Farmers Charity Classic (T57th) and the NFL Golf Classic which he won.. With the victory he became only the eight Monday qualifier in the history of the Senior Tour and the first since Jim Ahern won the 1999 AT&T Canada Senior Open. Mason, whose best previous finish was T38th in last years Allianz Championship, earned a one-year exemption for the win  . .Competed in 1997 PGA Championship, 1973 U.S. Amateur, five BellSouth Classics, five Buick Southern Opens. . . Winner, 1997, ’98, 2000 Georgia PGA Section Player of the Year . . . Has recorded 11 holes-in-one
