Player Notes: Director at Instruction at Golf Fac, Country Road Golf Center in Frederick, Md. . . Section Player of the Year in 1972, ’80 and was named Section Senior Player of the Year in 1995 and 1999. . . Won more than 100 events in the Middle Atlantic PGA Section from 1971 through 2001. . . The victories included the 1979 and 1986 Section Championship, 2001 Mid-Atlantic Section PGA Championship, 1972, ’80 Maryland State Open. . . Captured the 2000 and ’01 Maryland Senor Open. . . Inducted into the Murray State University  Sports Hall of Fame after a collegiate career that included a College All-American honor. . . Has served in an officer capacity in the Middle Atlantic PGA Section president and won the 1994-95 President’s Award . . . Underwent a left hip replacement in 1997 and returned to competition in 1999, finishing 23rd in the U.S. Senior Open. . . Competed in two U.S. Opens, made the cut in 1977 PGA Championship.
