PGA Tour Victories: 1 - 1981 Canadian Open

Player Notes: CBS golf analyst, got his start in broadcasting with Sky Sports in Great Britain, analyzing PGA Tour events from a London studio. He also worked for the venerable BBC at the 1996 and 1997 Open Championships. For three years beginning in 1995, Peter was the lead analyst for The Golf Channel coverage of the PGA European Tour, reporting from almost 90 events.

Prior to his telecasting career, Peter was one of the leading players in Great Britain and Europe. He was a member of the 1967 Walker Cup Team and six Ryder Cup Teams: 1971, ’73, ’75, ’77 and ’81. Was unbeaten in his first 7 singles matches. Peter stood atop the PGA European Tour Order of Merit for 4 consecutive seasons, 1971 to 1974, a record that stood until 1997. He captured 19 international tournaments and was the runner-up in the 1974 and 1982 British Opens. Peter played the PGA Tour full-time from 1975 to 1986 and won the 1981 Canadian Open. He played in 367 PGA Tour events finishing in the top-ten, 31 times. Has played in seven Senior PGA Tour events prior to 2002, best finish T45th 1998 AT&T Canada Senior Open.
