| A retired geometry teacher, was fully exempt for the 2003 Senior Open because of semifinal finish in 2002 Senior Amateur at Timuquana C.C. in Jacksonville, lost to Bill Bemowski in semifinal round; also a quarterfinalist in the 2001 Senior Amateur; this will be his sixth USGA event, which includes four Senior Amateurs; the Senior Player of the Year in Western Pennsylvania in 1999, 2000, ’01, and ’02, won the Jr. Williams Invitational in 2001 at Oak Hill Country Club, and the runner up at the 2001 Bogie and the 2001 Linwood Hall Invitational at Huntingdon Valley Country Club |
