Has lived in Utah for most of his life, attended high school and college there, and now works as East Bay’s Director of Golf in Provo. . . turned pro in fall of 1969, and has been at East Bay, 27-hole public facility (prior to 1986 known as Timpanogos Golf Course), since 1979. . . was named a Horton Smith Award winner for education in 1995, also Merchandiser of the Year for a public facility in 1993. . . served as President of the Utah Section in mid-90s, also the Utah Section Senior Player of the Year in1995 and 1996. . . won the section’s Match Play Championship three times from 1995 to 1998. . . comes from a golfing family, his father an amateur who won the Utah State Championship twice, twin brother Craig (7 min. older) won the State Amateur Championship, beating Kean in the semifinals on the 23rd hole. . . Craig currently works as a sales rep. with Foot Joy. . . at Cyprus High School in Utah, won the State High School championship as a senior in 1963, also the individual champion in 1962 and ’63. . . the two also played together at BYU, with both graduating in 1968. . . 2003 Senior Open the first USGA championship he has qualified for, has played in the PGA Club Professional Championship, with his best finish a t-24th. . . qualified for 2003 Senior Open at Riverside CC site, winning only spot with a 70.
