An entrepreneur all his working life, now owns a lighting company which makes light bulbs, owns offices in Asia but works out of Colorado. Has owned several businesses, but never worked for a large corporation. . . this is his first time qualifying for the Senior Open. . . started playing golf in high school, 40-year love affair with the game long-time member of Colorado Golf Association, played in many state amateurs. . . last year, men’s match play eliminated in round of 8, third place in Senior stroke play. . . this year finalist in Senior State Match Play championships. Represented CGA on the Senior Colorado Cup team in Colorado Cup matches in mid-June. . . has won several club championships at Highlands Ranch Golf Club in Colorado. . . won medalist honors at Senior Open qualifying at Aurora Hills, shot 67 with 6 birdies, one eagle, three bogies medalist, Aurora Hills, Colorado. . . dream to qualify for Champions Tour event, but never believed that event would be the U.S. Senior Open. . . caddie is Todd Hanzley, golf partner from Highlands Ranch Golf Club. . . married to wife Linda, the two will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year. . . has 4 children, two sons in college and two younger daughters. . . made four hole in ones in golfing career, first one was on the 14th hole at Bay Hill.
