money list with $174,090...Lone top-10 effort was a T10 at the NFL
Golf Classic in New Jersey...Was on the leaderboard after the first
day of the Turtle Bay Championship and eventually earned his biggest
paycheck, $31,875, when he T11 in Hawaii...Shot 7-under 65 in the
second round of the RJR Championship, his lowest 18-hole score on
the Champions Tour...Returned to the National Qualifying Tournament
at World Woods GC in the fall and earned fully-exempt status for the
2003 season. Made birdie on the final hole of the event to vault himself
into a T5 at 9-under 279. |

| 2001: Made two appearances after turning 50...Debut
on the Champions Tour came in July when he T41 at the State Farm Senior
Classic near Baltimore...Made second start two months later at the
SAS Championship in North Carolina where he T60...Attended Champions
Tour National Qualifying Tournament and earned a conditional exemption
when he placed 15th in the field. Finished 72 holes tied with David
Eger for the 14th spot at 3-under 283. Lost out on the 10th extra
hole when Eger made a par. |
