Went to Moorehead State in Moorehead, Kentucky, on a golf  scholarship. . . has been playing Senior golf for several years now, but also teaches part-times. . . has played in three Champions Tour events, including the 2001 U.S. Senior Open, where he missed the cut. . . won the Georgia Senior Open last year, also won the Indiana High School State Championship in 1966. . . has won five mini-tour Senior events, played on Cadillac Senior Tour. . . finished 8th at NCAA championship in 1970, competing against the likes of Tom Kite and Ben Crenshaw. . . a medalist in Indiana State Amateur in 1968. . . inducted to Indiana High School Hall of Fame. . . for nine years, from 1989-97, ran Hard Labor Creek in state of Georgia. . . has been to the final stage of Q-school several times. . . played US Junior Amateur in 1966, where he made the cut and finished top-24. . . a semifinalist in Western Junior in 1970, beaten by Andy North. . . has never played in the U.S. Open, though made it to sectional qualifying several times. . . has been married for 23 years with two daughters, 31 and 35. His nephew Jeff Jones, 30, will caddie for him.
