One of golf's all-time most prodigious drivers, Dent failed to win the 1999 Champions Tour driving distance category for the first time. in 2000, was the oldest player in the top 25 on the money list but after 12 straight years in the top-25 saw the streak end in 2001.

1989 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 23; top-10 finishes - 12; scoring average 70.61 (ranked 3rd); money - $337,691 (ranked 12th); had two wins (MONY Syracuse Senior Classic and Newport Cup), two seconds and was Senior Tour Rookie-of-the-Year.

1990 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 31; Had four wins (Vantage at the Dominion, MONY Syracuse Sr. Classic, Kroger Sr. Classic, Crestar Classic), four seconds and was in the top-10 21 times; scoring average 70.34 (ranked 6th); money - $693,214 (ranked 6th).

1991 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 32; top-10 finishes - 13; scoring average 70.79 (ranked 11th); money - $529,315 (ranked 9th); best finish, second four times, Mony Syracuse Senior, The Tradition at Desert Mountain, Newport Cup and Vantage Championship. . . Set Senior Tour record for most money won in a single season without a victory in 1991. . . Was the longest driver on the Senior Tour in 1991 by 11 yards, averaging 286.4 yards. He was only four yards beyond John Daly who led the PGA Tour.

1992 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 28; top-10 finishes - 14; scoring average 70.51 (ranked T-10th); money - $593,979 (ranked 9th); won Newport Cup. Was the longest driver on the Senior Tour by 10 yards, averaging 283.0 yards. He was only 0.4 of a yard beyond John Daly who led the PGA Tour.

1993 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 30; top-10 finishes - 9; scoring average 70.84 (ranked 15th); money - $513,515 (ranked 18th); best finish, 2nd Infiniti Senior Tournament of Champions and 2nd in Ralph's Senior Classic. Again led the senior tour in driving distance averaging 277.8 yards per drive.

1994 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 30; top-10 finishes - 15; scoring average 70.12 (ranked 8th); money - $950,891 (ranked 7th); winner Bruno's Memorial Classic. Won the Senior tour driving distance race averaging 275.5 yards, two yard per drive better than runner-up Tom Weiskopf.

Didn't play most of April with a rotator cuff injury to his left shoulder. Won twice on the Georgia Pacific Super Seniors events (The Instinet Classic and Vantage Championship) and finished second on the money list with $309,39.
