Had three top-10 finishes. After giving up on tour life he worked from 1982 to 1991 as a sports reporter and anchor for WBTV in Charlotte. Won 15 Carolinas PGA section events. Finished T2nd in Senior Tour qualifying tournament getting him full playing privileges for 2001.
