Player Notes: Ranked as one of the top amateurs in the world from 1979 to 1983. Played on three USA Walker Cup Teams. Won the first U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship in 1981. Also runner-up in the 1983 British Amateur. Played in three Masters, making the cut three times, with his top finish a T41st in 1982. Played in the U.S. Open in 1978 and finished T-57. Will be playing in his 41st USGA championship.

2000 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 31; top-10 finishes - 1; scoring average 72.42 (ranked 69th); money $245,529 (ranked 64th); best finish, T10th, Novell Utah Showdown.

2001 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 32; top-10 finishes - 2; scoring average 71.93 (ranked 45th); money $376,498 (ranked 49th); best finish T10th, Cadillac NFL Golf Classic.

Went back to Champions Tour qualifying tournament were he didn't get his card for 2002 when he finished T22nd. Still has partially exempt status by finishing 49th on the money list.

2002 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered - 28; top-10 finishes - 1; scoring average 72.29 (ranked 63rd); money $291,629 (ranked 59th); best finish, T-10th RJR Championship. Earned conditional exemption for the 2003 season at the Champions Tour National Qualifying Tour when he finished 12th.

2003 Champions Tour Summary: Tournaments entered -19; top 10 finishes -1; stroke average 72.13 (ranked 56th); money $191,945 (ranked 68th); Best finish, T-8th Music City Championship at Gaylord Opryland.

Played in two Champions tour events in 2004, T24th ACE Group Classic and missed cut in Senior PGA Championship.
