Player Notes: Taught law at Texas A&M for three years... Played on the PGA Tour from 1962 to 1972, and later in 1975 and ‘76... Had seven top-10 finishes in 1991 and later in the season had surgery for a tumor in his right ear and has lost all hearing in that ear. Recovered from the surgery in 1992 and lost in a playoff against Dale Douglass in the NYNEX Commemorative, but three months later won his first Senior Tournament, Bank One Senior Classic.
