Player Notes: The 2006 U.S. Senior Open will be the first USGA championship for Baa�Survived a four-hole playoff to qualify at Arrowhead C.C. in Montgomery, Ala.�Qualified for 2003 Southern PGA Club Professional Championship�Baas is a teaching professional at the Teaching Center at Craft Farms�He was also the PGA Dixie Section President in 2004�Baas has been working at the Craft Farms Resort for 17 years�Golf Digest has recognized him among the top four teachers in Alabama for the past four years�The Dixie Section of the PGA honored him as the 2004 Golf Professional of the Year�Owns three holes-in-one and one double eagle, but lists qualifying for the 2006 U.S. Senior Open as his most memorable golf experience�Married to wife Sandy and has two sons; Rian is a PGA apprentice and Cole advanced to sectional qualifying of the 2006 U.S. Open�Cole will serve as John�s caddie�Baas also is a huge University of Kentucky basketball fan.
