Player notes:Only Champions Tour victory came at 2005 Senior PGA Championship…Earned the nickname "Radar" for his accuracy off the tee…Won twice on the PGA Tour, the 1987 Seiko Tucson Open and 1988 NEC World Series of Golf…Looked to have the 1989 PGA Championship locked up at Kemper Lakes outside of Chicago but bogeyed 16 and doubled 17 to eventually fall one stroke behind eventual winner Payne Stewart…That same year, he was leading the Masters with five holes to play but finished four over par to slide to a share of sixth…Won Driving Accuracy title in 1980, the first year the statistic was kept…Suffered wrist injury while playing table tennis in Japan (fall of 1992) and missed most of 1993 season…Also suffered a broken rib in 1991 chasing a cat from his garage…Won 1975 Western Athletic Conference title for BYU…Brother, Bill, was once general manager of the TPC at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
